Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to help with sesquicentennial events over the 18 months. There are roles for both leaders and followers, tasks that may be taken on in large or small bites. Here are a few of the opportunities:

Volunteer coordination – match volunteers with tasks needing help.

Publicity – creating posters, flyers, invitations and mailings.

Intergenerational Event Planning – work with Events Committee to plan activities that include all ages in learning our history and celebrating.

Web Content – learn to use our new content management system and add news and features to the 150th web site coming this fall.

Speaker’s Series – help with planning and presenting talks by authors and speakers who inspire our spirits.

Transcribe Oral History – preserve our video interviews in print form.

Photo Identification and Organizing – Hundreds of photos have been scanned, labeled and sorted into categories, but there are hundreds more to go through, and more are being collected as awareness grows.

Event Hosting – as always, there will be need for greeters, food preparers, decorators, and clean up!
